Timeless Tuesday: CASE A Flourishes DT Member

Hello Flourishes Friends! Allison is this weeks hostess and she has a fun challenge for you this week! She is challenging you to : CASE a Flourishes Design Team Member! For all of the DT's cards and creations to choose from,  you can visit their gallery HERE on the Flourishes website, where you can find plenty of inspirations to choose from :)

I immediately chose Julie's "Sweet Cherries" card. I have always loved her card with the pretty colors and the nice scallops and edges and how vintage it looks.
I chose to keep the beautiful edge and the pretty ribbon placement and the same image, but added a few personal touches of my own :)

I stamped the cherries image from Flourishes "Peaches and Cherries" set on to watercolor paper that I diecut out, then watercolored them in. I sponged around the edges in "Antique Linen" Distress ink and popped it up on popdots over a grosgrain red ribbon and Ivory Scalloped Lace Trim. I added a Tailor-Made Classic Tags Die that I stamped a sentiment from the Tiny Flowers and Tags stamp set and topped it off with a small flower. After that, I popped the patterned paper off of the Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock base with some large popdots for extra depth.

Timeless Tuesday: Christmas in July!!

Good morning Flourishes Friends, it's time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday. We have yet another wonderful Tuesday for you!

Welcome to Flourishes’ Christmas in July sale! Each year around this time, Flourishes kicks off a festive sale that is sure to warm your hearts and get you in the spirit, long before the snow starts to fly! Between now and the 31st of July, all of their Christmas sets will be a whopping 25% off! Just click HERE to see all the fun sets that are on sale! They just got a NEW shipment of stamps to stock up so the Flourishes warehouse is stacked to the brim with Christmas goodies! There are no codes -- all stamp sets are automatically marked down for you!

What a great excuse to start on your Christmas cards, now instead of waiting until the fall, which I have been known to do. This sale is such a great motivator for me too, and after all of our extra special Christmas inspirations, please check out all of the beautiful sets on sale in the Flourishes shop!

This week I made two cards. I just love the "Rejoice" Christmas image, don't you? And since Flourishes is having a Christmas in July sale, this is a perfect time to pick it up! And I love an all white card, so I created a crisp white Christmas card too, with the "Paperwhites" set.

For my first card I used Flourishes "Rejoice" Christmas set that I watercolored in with the following Flourishes Letraset Aqua Markers: Spring Green, Scarlet, Raspberry, and Rose Carmine. I added some beautiful "Ivory Scalloped Lace Trim" lace and a Flourishes Stick Pin that I colored in with my R29 Copic marker, pinned to my bow.

For my second Christmas card, I used the sentiment from Flourishes "Paperwhites" that I stamped on Flourishes Classic White paper. For my Spellbinder layers I used "Fancy Tags Three" on top of Spellbinders Labels #18, placed on top of a Spellbinder frame, then I added some pearls to everything.

Did you know that Flourishes offers two beautifully designed recipe cards that you can download? You can find them "HERE" in the Flourishes store. I chose to use both of the designs for the challenge. They are so handy to have and so pretty!

I chose to create my recipe cards with a clean minimal look. And I created folded card bases on them so that the recipe can stand up and they can be seen clearly. As you can see, I couldn't help filling a few of them in with some family favorites :)

I used Flourishes "Garden Fresh" set, watercolored in and fussy cut out, then popped up on popdots. I placed the beets on a Flourishes "Fresh Recipes" recipe card design printed on Flourishes "Classic White" cardstock, placed on top of Kraft paper.

Flourishes Noon Time: Triple Play Challenge

Welcome to Day 2 of Flourishes Release Week Noon Time Challenges! Today's is the Triple Play Challenge. All you need to do is use three of something on your card or creation - pearls, flowers, colors, layers... the sky is the limit!

For my Triple Play items I chose to use three layers and three diecuts on my card. I used Flourishes "With Gratitude" set from Flourishes FLIP Program (you can read more on the FLIP program HERE). I water colored everything in, cut it out with an oval die, then I sponged the edges in with "Antique Linen" Distress Ink. I stamped a sentiment from the "Butterflies and Blossoms" set on to a Tailor-Made Tags die that I tied onto my card with some Kraft Jute Twine and topped it off with a button. I chose to use two layers of Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock as my card base, embossing lines to differentiate each layer, keeping it simple.

Flourishes Noon Time: Bold & Beautiful Challenge

Good afternoon, it is time for Day 1 of the July Release Noon Time challenges! This challenge is all about vibrant color - you pick the color just make sure it's bold and beautiful!

I am using Flourishes new "Passion Flower" set and I love it! I had never seen a Passion Flower before and after doing an image search, I found out that they really are bold!

As you can see, they are so pretty and unique, it was really freeing just to color them in so whimsically. Anything goes, with this flower! :)

I stamped the "Passion Flower" on a Spellbinders "Romantic Rectangles" diecut, then watercolored it in. I kept my card simple so the flowers would shine.I used the following Copic Collections:

Timeless Tuesday # 177

Good Morning Flourishes Friends! We have a very special Timeless Tuesday this week, filled to the brim with inspirations, goodies and information! Today's challenge is: Getting Sentimental. Create a card featuring a sentiment on it.
So why is this week so special? The Flourishes Design Team is using the "Sweetness of Friendship" stamp set which is one of our new July Releases!! So it's a challenge with a sneak peak, too!! Isn't this fun? ;)

And Jan Marie, the owner of Flourishes, is launching her beautiful new blog, too! The Sweetness of Friendship takes on the mantra of Jan Marie's blog - a place where friends can gather to enjoy the laughter and sharing of pleasures in creating! The stamp set is available right now and you can check it out in the Flourishes Store HERE.
What's even more fun? Jan Marie is giving away this stamp to the first 25 people who leave comments on today's post over on her new blog:  Jan Marie's Flourishes

I stamped Flourishes new "The Sweetness Of Friendship" stamp on a patterned tag that I had laying around, then attached it to a Spellbinders "Romantic Rectangles" diecut, cut from Flourishes "Classic White" cardstock. I added a Prima flower and a Zva "Taupe" Pearl Swirls strand that I cut up and attached to my card.

I can just see using this stamp set quite frequently! I am so glad Flourishes has such beautiful sentiments with a wonderful scroll like script! It gives your cards that extra elegant touch!

And as you make the rounds in today's Timeless Tuesday hop, you'll notice that some of the designers are using a fresh picked 123 Create Kit!

These kits have everything you need to create color coordinated cards with paper, ribbons and embellishments - all in one kit! Travel HERE to see for yourself!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday: Summer Fun!

Good morning fellow Flourishes followers! How is your summer so far? My daughter's school starts in a month, so we are going to enjoy it while we can!
This week's hostess is Makiko and she is challenging us to create: A Summer Card or Project. Super simple and easy :)

I've been thinking about how to use Flourishes stamps to try to create pieces of art work. So this week I decided to use Flourishes "Life's a Beach", which is perfect for this challenge. I wanted the look of a vacation postcard from Hawaii in the 1940's, so I went with a really heavy color saturation.
I used Flourishes "Life's A Beach" set that I masked and stamped onto a  2 1/2x3 mini canvas. I sponged some "Scattered Straw", "Wild Honey" and "Dried Marigold" Distress Ink on it for the colors of the sunset. Then I colored the rest in with the following Copic Sketch Marker Collections:
