Friday Focus: Hello Hyacinths!

Hello to our Flourishes Friday Focus on Hello Hyacinths! This is going to be a good hop, so grab a cuppa and let's get started shall we?

I've loved the Hello Hyacinth's set since it first came out, and it's such a lovely image to color in!

I  stamped my image in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with the Lilac, Crocus, Olive Green, Green Grass, Iced AquaFlesh Tones 2 and the Copper Copic Collections. I fussy cut out my image and popped it up on popdots on top of some diecut shapes cut from Classic Ivory cardstock, then I matted my card in Rich Browns cardstock from Color Made Easy. I added some lace, Cotton Latte ribbon, a Taupe Button, Jute Twine, and a Tailor Made Classic Tag to finish the card.

With spring here, this is a perfect set to use for your cards and creations! And, want to know another fun fact? Flourishes recently added a Silhouette Cut File to match this set that you can find HERE

Be sure to check back tomorrow for a major announcement -- one that could involve YOU! That's right! You'll just have to check back and see!

For more Hello Hyacinths inspirations please visit the rest of the Flourishes team, and please leave these ladies below some love in the form of a comment! I know they'd love to hear from you!!

Thank you for visiting and have a great day!

Product Review: Clearsnap Inks

Good morning and welcome to another Splitcoast Product Review link! The team and I reviewed Clearsnap Inks and Mini Craft ink bottles HERE. I made a couple cards with these inks and really loved how juicy the pad was and the vibrancy of the inks!

Here is one of the cards I made to show off the vibrant inks and versatility of them.
I sponged ink on coffee filters that I diecut out, and created leaves and a flower by sponging some ink on them. The Product Review Team has many other examples for you to see and you can read all about it HERE!

Thank you for visiting and be sure to check out the hot link to our Clearsnap Ink review! :)

Flourishes Free For All Friday!

Hello and welcome to a Flourishes Free For All Friday! It's so nice to see you back again, did you like Flourishes beautiful releases, last week? I really did, so I made a card with one of the new sets!

I loved the Tulips so much that I made another card with them.

I used the new Tulips set, stamping and embossing it in gold ink, then coloring it in with the Lenten Rose, Olive Green and Flesh Tones 2 Copic Collection. I fussy cut it out and popped it up on popdots on top of Clear Cover Cardstock, that I made into a cardbase. I embossed a piece of Classic White cardstock and using Scor-Tape, I adhered it to the Clear Cover Cardstock, stamping my sentiment in gold ink. I added a White ribbon, a Candy Pink button and some Iridescent String to embellish it all.

Come and visit with the rest of the team for more Friday Favorites!

Thank you for visiting and have a wonderful day!

For the inside of my window I stamped the sun and clouds image from April Showers onto Classic Ivory cardstock, and colored it in with Flourishes SunflowerBurnt Orange and Warm Neutrals Copic Collections. I stamped out the April Showers umbrella image and colored it in with SunflowerIce Blue and Green Grass Copic Collections, then fussy cut it out, placing it on top of the window, and attached it to my card base of Emerald Coast cardstock, which was cut out slightly larger, for accent.

One of the ladies on our link list below will be picking a name from the comments on her blog post today. We don’t know which one it is… so the more blogs you leave comments on, the more chances you have to win!

The first time I'd ever seen a real tulip was in a bouquet my husband sent me when we were dating, and they were the most extraordinary pink I'd ever seen on a flower! So when I think of tulips, I think of those pretty pink ones, so I colored the single tulip like the bouquet I received.

I stamped out my Tulip image in Memento Rich Cocoa on Flourishes Classic White cardstock and chose not to heat emboss my image for a softer look. I colored my tulip in with Flourishes Lenten RoseGreen Grass and Olive Green Copic Collections. I cut out my image with Perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals then matted it with Perfectly Pierced Classic Frames, to which I matted that with the largest Perfectly Pierced Victorian Ovals diecut. I placed all of my diecut layers on top of the large Romantic Rectangles and a Color Made Easy Pistachio cardstock to create my cardbase. I chose to use the Olive ribbon, a clear Sunflower button, some Metallic String and a diecut tag using the Tailor-Made Classic Tags die.
Because this is Day 1 of our release, I got carried away and made two cards, and this is my second one.
I stamped the Tulips out in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then colored them in with the EvergreenSunflower, and Beehive Copic Collections, then fussy cut it all out. I placed it on popdots over a Perfectly Pierced Frame diecut, matting it with paper from Teresa Collins and Sunflower cardstock from Color Made Easy. I used some Golden Rod ribbon from the Color Made Easy line, two Leaf Pins, an Ivory ButtonIvory Jute Twine and a Tailor Made Classic Tag, for my embellishments.

Flourishes Friday Favorites!

Hello and welcome to Flourishes Friday Favorites! Today is my first day working with the Senior DT and I am pretty excited about it! I've dreamed of being on the senior team ever since I picked up a Flourishes stamp. So today is a dream come true, for me!

Let's get started shall we? Today we get to show off one of our favorite stamp sets and show it off. I chose to use Humming Along.
I really love that pretty little humming bird! I stamped it in with Memento Rich Cocoa Ink,colored it in with my Copics and fussy cut it out and popped it up on popdots on to my patterned paper. I cut a small window out so you could see the sentiment from Humming Along that I stamped out on Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock, then I matted the card from behind in Flourishes Color Made Easy Rich Browns and adhered it with Scor-Tape. To embellish the card I added some beautiful Ivory Guipure Lace, that I tied a pretty double bow in Ivory Silk. To finish the card I added a Dresden Heirloom Button and two Leaf Trinket Pins for some elegant touches.

Here are the Copics I used to color the humming bird in:
